Our
gallery is located on Highway 17 west in Deep River next to the
Laurentian View Dairy.
We are open daily from 10:00 am to 5:30 pm, Sundays
10:00 am to 5:00 pm. We are closed only on Christmas Day, Boxing
Day and New Years Day.
We feature hand crafted, original fine art and
fine craft items such as paintings, pottery, wood-working and
turning, glass work, jewellery, photography, pewter, fibre arts
and more.
All of the items are one-of-a-kind and created
by more than 30 local Ottawa Valley members. The Valley Artisans'
Co-op was established in 1987 and remains one of the finest gift
and souvenir shops in the Valley.
What
are our Artisans Doing?
Rutger
van Doorninck, soap stone artist, will be
leaving us at the end of the summer. Be sure to come and see his
work before then!
We are sorry to be losing Don
McQuade at the end of the year. Don still
has a few wonderful pieces on the wall. Come take a look!
We are proud to be a Friend
of Summerfest: July 31-August 3, 2008. We will
be open daily throughout the weekend. Look for us along
the Artisan's Trail which will include Carol Grant's Studio,
Anne Seck's Garden, the Deep River Potter's Guild, and
the Artisan's Village near the campus.
We are extending our hours
in July and August. We'll be open daily from 10:00 am
to 7:00 pm.
Did you know that
we have a Gift Registry for weddings,
other occasions and just plain making sure you get what you
want?
